Skechers Women’s Shape Ups-Incites Fitness Walking Shoe

I ordered the skechers Shape Ups in the black with the white and grey bottoms. When they arrived in the mail, they were the all black shoes. I will be sending them back. I feel that if they didn’t have any more of the color I ordered, I should have been consulted with before they just took it upon themselves to send me a color that I really did not want. After reading other reviews, I see that I am not the only customer who this has happened to.I am normally happy with the products I receive from Amazon, but in this specific case, I am disappointed because I did not receive what I ordered.

first time this has happened on amazon, i’m more than a little disappointed. i ordered the black sneaker with the white sole, it was clearly pictured on the page i ordered from and even now AS I’M WRITING THIS REVIEW, the shoe i wanted is pictured to the right.
however, what i received was the all black “at work” version of the shape ups. these are horribly ugly and will be going back immediately.
also, i wear a size 10 in all my shoes and these size 10s were pretty tight. i tried them on with thin socks (trouser socks?) and it felt pretty snug. i have not tried them with thicker athletic socks, might be too tight to be comfortable? maybe they’re supposed to be really tight?
to sum it up this was NOT a positive shopping experience on amazon. bummer :/

I have seen a lot of posts about how great these shoes are. I was very skeptical but decided to try them and see for myself if the claims were accurate. Note that I already walk on my treadmill each morning for about 40 minutes 5 days a week on average. I have used the Shape Ups for 5 days now. The first day was a bit awkward but I can honestly say I did feel more muscles working. As far as comfort, my arches ache for most of the walk. I stuck with it for the 5 days to see if the foot pain would subside. I found my feet still ache and the extra muscles I felt working that first day are hardly noticeable now. In fact, the extra muscle action was hardly noticeable after the first day. I can only assume these shoes are working for people because they are encouraging them to adopt a walking program that perhaps they did not have before.

Personally, I really do not like the way any style of the Skecher’s Shape-ups look. They are very orthopedic/clunky looking to me. Also, they are really heavy. How could they not be with all of that material on the bottom? I believe it is the heaviness that accounts for the claims for additional workout benefits. So there is pretty much no way these could be running shoes. Unfortunately, I have RLS, arthritic knees and ankles, and I sometimes have sacro-iliac joint pain. Wow, sounds like I’m a mess or a hypochondriac. Anyway, I found that the Shape-ups help with ALL of that. When I have to do a lot of laudry and go from the basement to the upstairs several times a day, if I wear my Skechers my knees don’t hurt so much the next day. My RLS is very much improved. I haven’t had back pain for a long time now since I began wearing them. So, I grudgingly have to recommend them for people with joint problems or RLS. Grudgingly, because they are so hyped it seems, and also because I don’t like the look. But, if you need them for arthritis or RLS, they have helped me and I will continue to buy them and wish I was wearing something lighter and more stylish. Would never wear them if I didn’t have to.

I saw these advertised and decided to investigate.
I originally purchased MBT – thinking they had been out longer with this concept,
so of course, they had to be better. But no – & due to a problem with that shoe, I was able to
return them & purchase the skechers (shape-up motivation).
Well, I did not notice any difference after walking, & I wore them all day,
but on the plus side, they are very comfortable. Perfect for work (unit staff RN).
So I bought a different style: skechers shape-ups- action packed – for work-out / walk about on
non-work days & this style does exercise my leg muscles. This style also feels spongier than the
Motivations, but still supportive, & I did notice a difference on my first wear.
I just purchased a pair mary-janes in black, to wear to meetings & professional classes,
(trying to appear more business-like, but still comfortable).
Yes, they are expensive, but they’re worth the money. Since, my body feels good at the end of the day.
When you walk in these shoes (following their directions), you do exercise all your leg muscles
& your glutes as well. I’m very satisfied with my shoes.
P.S. EZ-coil is the top of the line – the most supportive, comfortable & very, very expensive.
